In many countries of the world, including Russia, June 1 is celebrated as International Children’s Day. On this day, adults meet at exhibitions of children’s drawings, concerts of young singers and musicians, children’s sports competitions, attend charity events aimed to help orphans, the disabled and other young citizens in need of help.
Traditionally, on the first day of summer, Victor Dmitriev comes to visit his young wards — pupils of the “Our Home” Center. “I will say briefly: there are no other people’s children. Be closer to the children” he said, congratulating the children on their holiday and addressing everyone on whom the peaceful and happy childhood of the little inhabitants of our large country depends
