18th International Exhibition of pharmaceutical technologies and raw material Pharmtech & Ingredients 2016 took place in Crocus Expo. ARPM was traditionally presented at the exhibition. This year Pharmtech & Ingredients brought together 364 companies from 25 countries. It also had a series of conferences on relevant industry issues and workshops presented by the leading companies.
The exhibition was opened by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Government of the Moscow Region, RSPP, CCI, and the Association of the Russian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers. The state officials noted the role of the event in the formation of the industry’s agenda, as well as in the promotion of cooperation between pharmaceutical business in Russia and overseas. Deputy Head of Government of the Moscow Region, Minister of Investment and Innovations, Denis Bytcaev said that that pharmaceutical production is the main priority for the region. It accounts for almost 15% of the region’s GDP; has 26 large production facilities, 15 of which have revenue of over 1 billion rubles. “This is the only are of the market that has not decreased the value of production in 2015 and even increased by 20% in 2016,” said Mr. Bytcaev.
Deputy Head of the Association of the Russian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, the member of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs read the welcoming speech of the President of the RSPP, Alexandr Shokhin. Mr. Shokhin noted the exhibition will make a significant contribution to the development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry and it will transfer production to a new level according to the world standards.
A joint annual reward of the Pharmtech & Ingredients and ARPM “To a great contribution to the development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry” was given on the second day of the exhibition. The award was given to INDUKERN-RUS.
