The delegation of Russian medical figures, leaders of the largest research centers, industry associations and state corporations led by Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko visited Serbia on a working visit. During the trip, the head of the Russian Ministry of Health held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabich, as well as with his colleague, the Minister of Health of Serbia Danitsa Gruichich.
As part of the visit, speaking at the «House of Serbia», the head of the ARPM Viktor Dmitriev noted that the Russian pharmaceutical industry is ready and aimed at entering the Serbian market, and later on other Balkan markets. “At the same time, we do not want to create competition with Serbian pharmaceutical manufacturers. Having studied the Serbian pharmaceutical market, we are ready to offer those drugs that are in demand by the healthcare system, but are not manufactured in Serbia”, he said.
The parties considered a wide range of issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of healthcare, discussing the use of innovative medical technologies in treatment standards, a road map of phased localization of the manufacturing of Russian drugs in Serbia, and the development of the educational and scientific potential of both countries. The result of the negotiations was the signing by Mikhail Murashko and Danitsa Gruichich Memorandum about cooperation.
Members of the Russian delegation got acquainted with the work of a number of scientific centers, clinics, laboratory complexes and other Serbia healthcare facilities. In addition Mikhail Murashko, Danitsa Gruichich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Serbia, Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, laid flowers at the Monument to the Soviet Soldier in Belgrade, honoring the memory of Soviet and Yugoslav soldiers who, at the cost of their own lives, liberated the world from fascism.
