The head of ARPM, chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare Victor Dmitriev and the executive director of AIPM Larisa Matveeva acted as co-moderators of the discussion of the leaders of the pharmaceutical market «Strategic development of the industry: the view of public sector players» at the 32nd Russian Pharmaceutical Forum named after Semashko, which was held in St. Petersburg.

During the open dialogue, in which representatives of both domestic and international pharmaceutical businesses participated, Victor Dmitriev said that it is time to stop arguing between local and global pharmaceutical manufacturers. «We are all international,» he emphasized. «And we must proceed, first of all, from the interests of patients.»

The participants in the discussion also noted that the domestic pharmaceutical market is significantly influenced by the situation in the world as a whole. For example, US President Donald Trump’s demand to reduce prices by up to 90% on the American pharmaceutical market or a clash between India and Pakistan could destabilize the situation.
