Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor), head of ARPM Victor Dmitriev notes that there are currently no unsolvable problems:
«There are current operational issues caused by the current geopolitical situation. They are resolved in the course of high-quality and prompt work with Chinese counterparties and partners. Some of them are related to current legislation and regulations, some are tied to relations between businesses. Another large slot of tasks for today is solving logistics problems, for example, with the transshipment of goods through the ports of the Far East. But it is more on our side of the border and is tied to the capacity of local ports. In general, I emphasize, these are not unsolvable issues, but interesting tasks that new times and circumstances bring. With the right approach, all of them are quite solvable.»
According to him, ARPM also encountered problems with payments «in the course of operational activities»:
«We used all the windows of opportunity that were provided. We hope that the President’s visit to Beijing will provide us with new ways and solutions so that payments are carried out in a calmer mode and do not put pressure on current business processes.
VTB Chairman of the Management Board Kostin recently spoke about new solutions to this issue. Therefore, we are waiting for the opening of representative offices of our banks in China and the opening of the opportunity to interact with Chinese partners through direct payments on the ruble-yuan pair, without using SWIFT.»
