Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare  (Roszdravnadzor), Director General of the ARPM Victor Dmitriev spoke at a meeting of the expert council for the development of the pharmaceutical industry of the State Duma Committee for Healthcare.

 “The pandemic has taught us a lot, but we have not learned how to fight bureaucracy and defeat it,” said the head of the ARPM. He gave a number of concrete examples of bureaucratic obstacles that do not allow nowadays to register a domestic innovative drug, promptly make changes to the registration file, introduce the drug into civil circulation, and so on, and sanctions have nothing to do with it.

Supporting the proposal to speed up the registration of new drugs, which was voiced recently in the State Duma, Victor Dmitriev, however, warned that if this decision is carried out in the same way as the previous ones, it will become ineffective.
