Victor Dmitriev: patronage will make closing the personnel gap in the medical organizations of new territories possible.

On September 30, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed agreements on the adoption of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics in the Russian Federation, as well as the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions. From this moment until January 1, 2026, the transition period is valid in which the integration of new territories with Russia should take place, the adaptation of the economic, political and legal structures of the regions to Russian realities.

Particular attention is paid to the transformation of the healthcare system, the restoration of destroyed medical facilities, and the solution of personnel issues. The chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor) Victor Dmitriev this week visited new territories, visited a number of medical organizations, pharmacies, institutions of higher and secondary medical education, where he talked with colleagues, discussing problematic issues of improving the quality of medical care and education in the regions. “For the speedy achievement of all-Russian standards, material and technical assistance is needed, also for educational institutions. One of the paths that I see is in the patronage of medical and pharmaceutical business over specific colleges and institutes. Then we will be able to quickly close the personnel gap in medical organizations of new territories,” he said.

Let us recall that according to the legislation, during the transition period, lists of specialties, positions and qualification categories that meet the norms of the Russian Federation have to be determined in the new regions, while the certificates of specialists and other documents received earlier in Ukraine will be valid.
