On 11th of May the trial project «Innovative camp: The Pharmacy of the Future» has started in Orekhovo-Zuyevo on the basis of the State University of Humanities and Technology. ARPM, State University of Humanities and Technology and I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University are the organizers of the event.

Viktor Dmitriev, a CEO of the Association of Russian Pharmaceutical Manufactures (ARPM) while opening the camp wished to participants rich and productive educational process. «You have chosen a very exciting profession. On the one hand it is one of the oldest professions, on the other hand  — comparatively it is young which combines with additional new branches. It is hard to find such number of these branches somewhere else like in pharmacy and pharmacology. Today we speak about nanotechnology, new «transport substances» which transfer active ingredients, about biotechnology and cell technology. Of course the modern pharmacy needs highly specialized employees. It is interesting to us, like representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, to see what are you ready for, what we can expect from you in the future.», — the speaker mentioned.

For the first time for the project this level the video conference took place with the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor). The representatives told about the structure and objectives of Roszdravnadzor, main functions and government control of the quality of medical products. «In 2016 more than 7 million of poor quality packages of medicines were seized by Roszdravnadzor. To prevent that in the future the complex set of actions exists. The object of Roszdravnadzor is to teach you how to maintain the quality of medicines in every stage: from producer to consumer», — Mikhail Murashko, a Head of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare mentioned in his speech.

Further the students will take part in lectures, excursions and master classes related to actual topics of medicines circulation, pharmacovigilance, pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers and control laboratories activities. The range of topics are from the molecular medicine to making a CV and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry for young specialists. The organizers also don’t forget about the entertainment for informal communication and team building.
