The main theme of SPIEF 2025 is «Common values — the basis for growth in a multipolar world», and such value is, first of all, the health of every inhabitant of the planet. It is no coincidence that it has become a good tradition to dedicate the first day of the Forum to issues of drug provision and drug safety.
Today, the topic of the day has significantly expanded and covers virtually all health issues on the agenda. For the first time, the global topic of neoethics and neurotechnology was touched upon within the framework of the V Russian Pharmaceutical Forum «Drug Safety». The discussion at the session dedicated to this topic aroused great interest among the forum participants. Neurotechnologies are designed to improve the quality of life of people, but their active introduction into everyday life is associated with public concerns and ethical challenges. Victor Dmitriev, Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor), Director General of ARPM, commenting on the discussion that took place, said: «This is something new that we will have to live with, work with, and, what is important, regulate wisely. The authoritative list of the session participants corresponded to the relevance of the topic. And I am pleased to note that Russia takes one of the leading places in the world in the development of neoethics and neurotechnologies.»
