Today, as part of the industry days, the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia» held at VDNKh hosted Health Day. The Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council Inna Svyatenko and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ekaterina Priezzheva took part in the opening of the large-scale events. And while the distinguished guests visited the stands of Russian regions, visitors to the exhibition had a unique opportunity to warm up with two-time world figure skating champion Irina Slutskaya.
The Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor), General Director of the ARPM Victor Dmitriev also took part in the business program of Health Day, getting acquainted, together with the Deputy Head of Roszdravnadzor Dmitry Parkhomenko, with the expositions presented by the regions of Russia and discussing with representatives of patient organizations the painful issues of healthcare «on the ground». During the conversation, in particular, dissatisfaction with the accessibility of the website of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare was voiced, and the head of the Public Council promised to resolve this issue, explaining, however, that some restrictions may be associated with additional security measures taken in view of the increased frequency of cyberattacks on the information resources of Russian government agencies. At the stand of the Kaliningrad Region, the issue of the need for social pharmacies in hard-to-reach and remote areas of Russia was once again voiced, and Victor Dmitriev assured the representatives of the region that he would personally monitor the initiative to open a pharmacy on the Curonian Spit in the village «Rybachy», would definitely report on the stages of the implementation of this project and invites everyone to its opening.
The business program at the exhibition presented key achievements in national healthcare, unique regional projects, breakthrough scientific discoveries and the latest inter-industry inventions and designs that meet the current needs of society and the state. Noteworthy discussions and lively debates took place during working sessions and round tables, and throughout the day, visitors were treated to interactive events, lectures by young scientists and a concert entitled “Health is the Main Thing”.
