Four areas of partnership with Turkish colleagues

Geopolitical relations between Russia and Turkey have been going on for more than five centuries, and today, thanks to the trustful and friendly communication between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, they have reached a new level of effectiveness and fruitfulness. Turkey is a link between Russia and Europe, and it is no coincidence that attracts the attention of domestic business.

The prospects for cooperation between our countries in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals were discussed today by participants in an online meeting organized by the Russian-Turkish Dialogue Association. Valery Sergienko, Chairman of the Committee on Entrepreneurship in Healthcare and the Medical Industry of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, welcomed the guests of the forum, expressing hope for mutual interest and constructive dialogue between the participants.

Russian-Turkish business cooperation in the medical and pharmaceutical sector today includes four of the most promising areas: mutual supplies of medicines, the creation of joint ventures, medical tourism and education, said Victor Dmitriev, Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor). Citing the words of the first President of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, that our thought should work not in the spirit of the lethargic mentality of past centuries, but in accordance with the ideas of the speed and action of our century, he expressed confidence that it is this speed that gives positive energy to the fruitful cooperation between our states.

The participants of the meeting discussed joint innovative developments, issues of technology transfer, specifics of Russian-Turkish cooperation in the pharmaceutical market and the market of medical devices, and came to the conclusion that mutual interest will certainly become a guarantee of establishing strong business ties in these areas.
