Metropolitan Seraphim of the Baltic and Svetlogorsk opened and consecrated a chapel in honor of the icon of the Mother of God «The All-Tsaritsa» in the Kaliningrad oncology center, whose patients especially need spiritual support. When God is in the heart, the hospital walls are not so burdensome, and the treatment is more effective, and the hope for recovery grows stronger. The chapel will be a place where not only patients and their relatives, but also medical staff can come in difficult times.

The ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Health of the region Sergey Dmitriev, the head of the territorial department of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor) Erendzhen Bashankaev, the chairman of the Public Council under Roszdravnadzor Victor Dmitriev, acting chief physician of the oncology center Stepan Mirakyan, medical staff and patients of the center.

Victor Dmitriev donated to the center an icon of the “Cathedral of the Twelve Holy Healers,” painted by Yaroslavl icon painters, and wished good health and well-being to all of its patients.
